Steve Poltz

As a long-time fan of the Beat Farmers and Mojo Nixon, I don't know how I missed Steve Poltz for so many years. But I plan to make up for lost time.
He had the Continental Club crowd rocking during his Mojo's Mayhem set, performing "Cold German," a song he'd written just hours before and dusting off "Dick's Automotive," a twisted ode to love gone wrong and Mother Nature from his Rugburns days. He also proved that a 40-something guy can still stage dive. Though he almost lost the top of his head to the Club's ceiling fan while the crowd was passing him around.

Steve is an amazing performer... I've seen him 3x live in NYC and will do all I can to see him live whenever he plays near to where I live... and I wholeheartedly agree with all that you said about him and his music!!!

Thanks for your post! I'm listening to Chinese Vacation as I write this. I find Steve's music gives me a reason to think and smile. There are some interesting You Tube videos of Steve's performances. Have you checked those out?
