A little Sunday night music from Warren Zevon.
Released in 1987, Sentimental Hygiene still resonates today.
Love the scorching Neil Young solo.
Can't decide my favorite lyric from this song:
Everybody's at war these days
Let's have a mini-surrender
or
Everybody's joining up to fight
For the right to be wrong
Life is precious and short. And as Warren once remarked:
"Enjoy every sandwich."
Fortunate enough to see Warren Zevon in concert at Bogart's in Cincinnati
on November 23, 1988. He played with a stripped-down band
that included the Eagles Timothy B. Schmidt, who performed
"I can't tell you why."
Zevon encored with a cover of Tom Jones' "What's new pussycat?"
One of my most memorable concert experiences.
Thanks to "Just an excitable board" for the historical reference check
on the Bogart's concert.
